2025 Herd Values are out

The 2025 Herd Values were released by the IRD with all sheep and cattle values up compared to 2024 Herd Values.

The average change in Sheep values went down by 37% from 2023 to 2024, and up by 33% from 2024 to 2025.

The average change in Cattle values went up by 2% from 2023 to 2024, and up by 35% for Beef Cattle and up by 45% for Dairy Cattle.

Deer values increased for Red deer, wapiti, elk and related crossbreeds and decreased for most other breeds. The average change in Deer values went up by 58% from 2023 to 2024, and up by 4% from 2024 to 2025.
